These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the EduWait app (the "App").
The App is operated by:

By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The App
EduWait blocks the apps you choose until you answer learning questions to earn screen time. On iOS, the App uses Apple's Screen Time features; on Android, it uses Usage Access and a background service. Because blocking depends on your device's operating system and the permissions you grant, we cannot guarantee that blocking works on every device or in every situation.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity under your account.
- Child accounts are set up and managed by a parent or guardian using an invite code. The parent or guardian is responsible for the child's use of the App and can delete the child's account in the App.
- You can delete your own account at any time in Settings → Account.
3. EduWait Pro Subscriptions
- EduWait Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription, available as a monthly or yearly plan.
- EduWait Pro unlocks additional AI quiz packs and lets you link more than one child. Current prices are shown in the App before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- If a free trial is offered, it automatically converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App or your EduWait account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.
- A parent's EduWait Pro subscription also covers their linked child accounts.
4. Your Content and AI
You keep all rights to the study material and content you upload or create. You grant us permission to store and process that content to provide the App, including sending it to our AI provider to generate quiz questions. Only upload material you have the right to use. AI-generated questions may contain mistakes, so please check important information. Fair-use limits apply to AI features.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use the App to upload or share unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the App's operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, and our liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Apple App Store
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data.
9. Changes and Governing Law
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you in the App. These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
