This Privacy Policy explains how EduWait ("we", "us", the "App") collects, uses, and protects your personal data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.
1. Who We Are (Data Controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

2. Data We Collect
- Account data — your email address and chosen username.
- Profile content — an optional profile photo (avatar) you upload.
- Study material you provide — photos, documents, or text you upload or paste so the App can generate quiz packs for you.
- Content you create — quiz packs and questions you make in the App.
- Usage data — your quiz progress, earned screen-time credits, streaks, and the list of apps you choose to block.
- Diagnostics — crash logs and performance data, to help us fix bugs and keep the App stable.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data, financial data, or any advertising identifiers.
3. How We Use Your Data and Legal Bases
We use your data only to operate and improve the App:
- To provide the App — authenticating your account, saving your packs, progress, and settings. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To generate quizzes with AI — study material you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider to create quiz questions. Legal basis: performance of a contract / your consent.
- To fix bugs and improve stability — using crash and performance data. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share data only with service providers ("processors") that help us run the App:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
- Anthropic — processes study material you submit to generate quiz questions.
- Sentry — collects crash and performance diagnostics.
- Apple — app distribution and related services.
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and may not use it for their own purposes.
5. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded study material is retained only as long as needed to generate and store your quiz packs. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at max@instantadvantages.com.
8. Children's Privacy
EduWait may be used by students, including minors, often with a parent or guardian. We collect only the limited data described above and never use it for advertising or tracking. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us data you wish to remove, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you in the App.
