Delete Your EduWait Account

This page explains how to delete your EduWait account (app developer: Instant Advantages, Max Richard Wolfe) and everything stored with it. You can do it yourself in the app, or ask us to do it for you — you do not need to reinstall the app to make the request.

1. Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately:

• Open EduWait and sign in.
• Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
• Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

2. Deleting a child's account

Child accounts in EduWait are managed accounts: they have no email address, and a child cannot sign out of or delete their own account — that is the parental control. The linked parent deletes a child's account in the app under Family → select the child → Remove & delete account. This permanently deletes the child's account and all of their data.

If you are a parent or guardian and no longer have access to the parent account, use the request route in section 3 and tell us the child's display name and the parent account's email address.

3. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email us and we will delete the account for you:

• Write to contact@eduwait.com with the subject "Account deletion request".
• Send it from the email address on the account, and include your EduWait username. If the account is a child's, write from the linked parent's email address and include the child's display name.
• We may ask one follow-up question to confirm it is really your account before we delete anything.

We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days, as required by the GDPR (Art. 17).

4. What gets deleted

Deleting an account permanently erases:

• your login (email address and password, or a child's email-free login credential);
• your profile — username, display name, and your profile photo file;
• the quiz packs and questions you created — including any packs you shared with another EduWait user, which disappear from their library too;
• your quiz progress, earned screen-time credits, streaks and history;
• your list of blocked apps and your app settings;
• your notification token, so no further push notifications can reach you;
• the link between a parent account and its child accounts.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards.

5. What is kept, and for how long

• Crash diagnostics — crash and performance reports are kept by our diagnostics provider for a limited period (no longer than 90 days) and are then purged automatically. They contain no name, email address or content: only an internal account identifier that no longer maps to any account once it is deleted.
• Subscription and purchase records — if you ever bought EduWait Pro, the purchase itself is handled by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your payment details. Our subscription provider keeps the purchase status against an account identifier under its own retention policy, and the accounting records we are legally required to keep come from Apple's and Google's payout statements, which do not identify you individually.
• Backups — deleted records may persist in our hosting provider's encrypted backups until those backups roll over.

EduWait's own curated quiz packs are written by us and are not tied to any user account, so they are unaffected by deletion.

Photos, documents and text you submit for AI quiz generation are not stored on our servers as files: they are passed to our AI provider to produce the questions, and are not saved to our own file storage. Only the resulting quiz pack is saved to your account, and that is deleted with it.

6. Other data requests

If you would rather export your data, correct it, or restrict its processing instead of deleting the account, see your rights under section 7 of our Privacy Policy and write to max@instantadvantages.com.
